Mgr, Product Marketing

Yamaha AV Division is seeking a Product Marketing Manager.  The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for marketing activities of their assigned product categories.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

· Develop Go-To-Market strategic plans.

· Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.

· Sales enablement- communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of the products assigned.

· Product launch- plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

· Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for the products.

· Promote assigned products and contribute to maximizing the company’s sales revenues, market share, and profit margins.

· Market intelligence – target to be the expert on our buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to win over them.

· Develop strategic marketing plans for a product or product line through market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement, and business planning.

· Responsible for analyzing market conditions and assisting US based product planning with defining features or functions of a product.

· Will function as the hub of many marketing activities to bring a product to market and actively monitor and manage it in-market.

· Translate business objectives set for a product into product planning requirements.

· Conduct analysis to understand market segments and uncover unmet opportunities and identify unique product requirements to served markets.

· Works closely with all marketing staff to position, promote and maximize ROI by product.

· Report on latest trends and industry market news for product categories assigned.

Requirements:

· 5+ years of CE product marketing experience

· Degree in Marketing or Business

· Possess excellent English communication, presentation and editorial skills

· Excellent people and project management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and other cross-functional teams, and third party vendors

· Dynamic energetic and self motivated. Works well under high pressure in a fast paced environment and able to manage multiple projects at one time

· Willing to travel 25%

· Preferred – 2+ years working experience in a global consumer electronics brand a plus.
