FAMED ACTRESS KELLITA SMITH FILMING NEW MOVIE "ANTHONY ANDERSON PROJECT"

Kellita Smith undergoes production on latest movie tentatively titled "Anthony Anderson Project" starring Anthony Anderson and Loretta Divine.

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 24, 2004) - Actress Kellita Smith is currently on set filming the New Line Cinema production "Anthony Anderson Project" alongside Anthony Anderson and Loretta Divine. Jeff Byrd is directing the film in Montreal, Canada and it is set for release in 2005.

The "Anthony Anderson Project" is a comedy/crime/drama that details a business mans strategy to sabotage his money-hungry wife's plan by arranging his own kidnapping, but he discovers that there are many other people after his money.

The busy actress maintains a steady role as the wife, Wanda McCollough, on the hit Fox TV series "The Bernie Mac Show", which began in 2001. Also, she just wrapped production on "Beauty Shop The Movie" with Mo'Nique, a comedy/romance film directed by Leslie Small that will hit theatres this year in 2004.

As a seasoned actress, Kellita has graced the big screen in such movies as "Kingdom Come" by Searchlight Entertainment, Miramax's "The Crossing" and New Line Cinema's "House Party III". She has also played the lead role in "Masquerade", and had recurring roles in such popular sitcoms as "The Jamie Fox Show", "Malcolm and Eddie", "Sister Sister" and "Martin".

To add to her acting experience, Kellita's theatrical credits include Stage 52's "Jeffrey's Plan", "No Place to be Somebody" at the KC Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, "Tell it Like it Tiz" - which she toured with for two years, and many more.

Kellita's tremendous talent on stage as the lead in "The Thirteenth Thorn" earned her a NAACP Theatre Award nomination in 1996 for best actress. That same year she also won an NAACP award for best supporting actress in the stage production "Feelings".
