Hurricane Relief Donations Drive

Thank you for all of your wonderful responses and support of BlackNLA.com's Hurricane Relief Efforts. We have had a good response with both items donated, as well as businesses volunteering to be drop-off locations.

We do realize that not everyone is able to make it to the drop-off locations during the stated business hours; therefore, BlackNLA.com will be hosting a Hurricane Relief Drive on Saturday, September 10th from 9am - 10pm at a Lot in Inglewood, CA. The address is 510 S. La Brea, Inglewood, CA 90301, located about three blocks south of Manchester, on the west side of La Brea, across the street from Woody's BBQ.

When assembling your donations, we ask that you please try to keep all like items together. If you are able to bring your items in a box, we ask that you please label the box. If you do not have a box, please bring the items in a plastic bag.

If you would like, to contribute your time, we are also seeking volunteers to help us on Saturday. If you are interested, please contact Randi Ward at rward@blacknla.com.

The items collected from our Hurricane Relief Efforts will be to given to organizations that are providing relief both in the Gulf region and for those residents relocated to the Los Angeles area. Items heading to our family and friends in Louisiana, Houston, and other affected areas, will be combined and transported with those of the Magic Johnson Foundation Donation. Additonal items will be given to evacuees locally, at such facilities as the Dream Center in Echo Park.
