Looking For Business Participation for its Los Angeles, CA --BlackNLA.com, a Los Angeles based website, has partnered with Drew Child Development Corporation and Girls and Boys Town of Southern California for its 2nd Annual 2005 Toy Drive. BlackNLA.com is a community based company and selected the two local organizations to receive the donations from the Toy Drive. "Local groups are often at a disadvantage during the holidays because they lack the benefits of a national support system" say's Cherice Calhoun founder of BlackNLA.com. To maximize the reach of potential donations, BlackNLA.com is seeking toy drop locations. Those businesses participating as drop off locations will be included in an e-mail to reach over 20,000 Los Angeles area companies and professionals. The e-mail will launch the Toy Drive and list the names, addresses and phone numbers of those businesses serving as toy drop off locations. Drew Child Development Corporation (Drew CDC), a private, non-profit organization located in South Central Los Angeles, is dedicated to the education, early intervention and the social well being of at-risk children, youth and their families in the metropolitan Los Angeles, area. While a safe and more-permanent solution is being sought for these kids in crisis, they can find safe haven at Girls and Boys Town's Emergency Shelter and Assessment Centers. They provide programs for 11- to17-year-old girls and boys in crisis - runaways, homeless, court-placed or abused children.
