- In Time for Women's History Month -
AH-Ha! Moments
…moments of transformation
by four cutting-edge female playwrights…

Los Angeles, CA - AH-Ha! Moments, an arresting theatrical experience of four one-act plays, makes its world premiere at The Complex, Thursday, February 24th

Veteran actress, director, and playwright, Magaly Colimon, conceived the theme of AH-Ha! Moments'. "After reading Talking Tongues by renowned playwright Winsome Pinnock, I was inspired to create a forum for the expression of the many sides of women," recalled Ms. Colimon. "Pinnock's central character, who was living a life of submission, found her 'voice' and was therefore freed from bondage. With this in mind, I reached out to other like-minded individuals and together we created AH-Ha! Moments. The goal of this production is to inspire male and female audiences alike to recognize and listen to that true voice that lives within, so that they may have their own AH-Ha! Moments and then share them with the world."

Each of the plays should be thought of as an essential component of the whole, exploring the production's central theme of 'release and transformation.'

Synopsis of the plays:

Butterscotch and Fudge by Magaly Colimon, directed by Christopher Scott Cherot -Isa grabs hold of her fears and insecurities and plunges herself forward on an uncertain journey to meet her Internet Romeo.

Couple Wanted by Veona Thomas, directed by Magaly Colimon - Two women, who are most unlikely companions, find themselves in financial need. In spite of their differences, they find themselves bound together in an alliance for better or worse.

Legacy of Love by M.B. Montague & Juliette Jeffers, directed by Andi Chapman -When a daughter, mother and grandmother come together to celebrate a birthday, they discover how the grandmother's importance of image over self-fulfillment with regards to a husband, has been passed down from one generation to the next.

The Fun by S. Vasanti Saxena, directed by Armando Molina - May finds herself in a hostage situation with two mysterious women and learns that she has something that they will do almost anything to get. The Fun is an incisive look at desire, censorship, politics, and the culture of fear.
