|
|
| FAQ's |
- Is
this a cruise?
No. We will be staying at the Turtle
Beach Resort in Barbados.
- Do
I have to spend more money than the cost of the trip?
No, not if you don't want to. This trip is all-inclusive
meaning that covered in the cost of the trip will
be your lodging, meals, beverages, non-motorized water
sports, and planned events (i.e. - Dinner Cruise,
parties at the resort, hosted tours and excursions,
etc.). As part of your transportation costs, round-trip
transfer to and from the airport are included.
- Do
I have to go to all the planned events and stay with
the group the whole time?
No. This is your vacation and you are free to engage
in any activity of your choice, with or without the
group.
- Outside
of the planned activities, what are some other things
to do in Barbados?
Jet-skiing, snorkeling, shopping
- Do
I need a passport?
YES. Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including
U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United
States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America,
the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present
a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard
Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration
Card, Form I-551, if applicable.
If you do not have a passport, please fill out the
required application
form (or click
here to print out), have a passport picture taken,
and take everything, including your birth certificate,
to a specified post
office. To find out more about passport procedures,
regulations, and costs click
here.
Many of you live in cities where they have a Passport
office. You can schedule an appointment and get your
passport within 1 week. Check the website for the
nearest office.
- If
I don't have a roommate, how will one be assigned?
We are assigning roommates
based on those participants that have already signed
up and paid for the trip.
If you don't have a roommate, but would like to choose
your own, please take a look at the roommate
forum . You will find people who have stated what
type of roommate they are looking for as well as information
on how they are. If you are interested in the person,
feel free to contact them.
If there is no one of interest on the blog, please
feel free to post your own notice with information
on yourself and what you are looking or in a roommate.
Please also include a form of contact, so that potential
roommates can contact you.
If you are unable to select a roommate on your own,
BlackNLA will assign one to you. We will do our best
to match you up with someone of the same sex, age
range, and interests. E-mail us your name, age, gender,
depature city and contact number.
- Why
is airfare not included in the price as a full package?
While we do offer assistance with airfare, we have
come to realize that some of our guests would prefer
to use frequent flyer miles or companion passes. So
by keeping the costs separate, we are enabling more
individuals to join us.
- Can
residents of other cities and states go on the trip?
Yes, the more the merrier. This trip is being promoted
nationwide, and all US residents are welcome to join
us. So if you have family or friends outside of Los
Angeles, please feel free to forward on the link to
the Travel
Page, and tell them to register. And yes, we will
do our best to assist them with locating airfare,
though we're not making any promises.
-
Where is airfare currently being offered from?
Los Angeles, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Washington,
D.C.
-
Can I bring my kids?
NO, this is a 21 and over event.
- If
I take the flight with a layover in Montego Bay, can
I leave the airport during the 6 hours?
Yes, however, you must go through customs and BlackNLA
will not be responsible for those who do not make
it back to the airport in time for the connecting
flight. If you choose to go see the local sights,
we advise that you check with the airport reps to
find out what time you need to be back.
If you miss your flight, it will be your responsibility
to find a way to Barbados or back home.
-
