PARKING
UPDATE:
We
have confirmed that STAPLES Center parking will be available to
our
participants on Saturday, May 10th. You can park your car and walk
a
short distance to the shuttles. The shuttle pickup is on 12th Street
between Figueroa and Flower Street. Shuttles are conveniently located
near the MTA Metro Blue Line Pico Station.
Shuttle
return in located on Exposition Blvd., west of Figueroa. Shuttles
will
run from 6:00am and 2:00pm.
CELEBRITY
UPDATE:
In addition to our previously announced Celebrity hosts, Melissa
Manchester and Jesse McCartney will each be performing during our
Opening Ceremony!

We are thrilled
to share that at last count we have over 70 people registered for
this Saturday's BlackNLA Team at the Revlon Run/Walk.
Everyone should have received their mailed information sheet from
Revlon. If you have not you can use the links below to print out
the material that was mailed to you this week.

Your event gift bag and t-shirt can be picked up at the designated
area near the on-site registration.

MEETING PLACE & TIMES
Please don't be fooled! The race does start at 8:45 am... but, we're
talking about over 50,000 people. That's right ... this is a HUGE
Cancer Research Fundraiser... one of the largest of its kind in
the country.... The Opening Ceremonies start at 8:00 am. Please,
plan on arriving at the USC Campus to park (or in surrounding area)
no later than 6:30 am... I know, it sounds really early... but,
you need to:
1) park
2) find your way to packet-pick-up to get your Revlon run/walk goodie
bag
3) find your way into the Coliseum (use Tunnels 2-5 for teams with
A-B names)
4) find the Team BlackNLA meeting spot inside the Coliseum (team's
are arranged in ABC order inside the stadium, use Tunnels 2-5 for
closest access) Look for the BlackNLA sign.
5) meet at our area, pick up your Function Drinks
6) at 7:45 our team will take an official Team Photo at the nearest
photo station to our meeting space
7) then make our way over to the start line w/your friends between
7:45 - 8:15am!!
That's a LOT TO DO before the race.... don't stress ... just come
early so you can enjoy the morning. It will FLY BY and you'll have
a ton of fun.
FAQ
1) I lost my bib - That's ok you can get a new one at the on-site
registration booth
2) I haven't signed up yet is it too late? - No they will have on-site
registration
3) I haven't mailed in my pledges - That's ok you can bring them
with you they will have drop off bins there.
4) I have not collected all of my pledges - That's ok you until
June to mail in your pledges.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION
Yes, if you have a buddy who wants to join us at the last minute,
there is race-day registration. But, there will be lines, so they
should arrive early so that they will have enough time to register
& then come on over & join the team.
POST RACE / OTHER / ENTERTAINMENT
--Bring your camera!
--The post-run/walk concert will be held between 10:15-Noon at the
finish line, so plan on hanging out with your buddies for awhile
after the race.
--After the run/walk we will be meeting back at our designated area
to enjoy our snack box provided by the walk organizers or you can
head over to the festivites. Please remember to enjoy yourself,
and the event.
