Enjoy a day of southern-inspired soul food, music, prizes, giveaways, and great company at Georgia’s Restaurant in Long Beach, CA Sunday, July 18th – 2 PM – 7 PM as the Georgia’s family unveils “Nana’s Special Candied Yams” in honor of the restaurants two-year anniversary.

Long Beach, CA – The California-based soul food restaurant “Georgia’s Restaurant” has served guests an eclectic array of comfort foods since its inception in 2014. The brand, having expanded from Anaheim Packing District to Long Beach Exchange Complex in 2019, is all set to mark its two-year anniversary Sunday July 18th, 2021, 2 PM – 7 PM and is inviting the community to join in the festivities.

Located at 4101 McGowen Street, Suite. 155, Georgia’s first opened its doors in Long Beach when there were next to no soul food restaurants. Fortunately, Georgia’s Restaurant had just what was needed: top-notch southern fare, dishes made with love and a menu catering to all ages.

Family recipes passed down through generations are mixed with a little twist to reinvent soul food the people of Long Beach know, and love and it is not just the food people love about Georgia’s. The beloved chef and owner Gretchen Shoemaker, lovingly dubbed “Nana,” a driven woman who has a heart for people, infuses a little bit of Southern hospitality into every plate of food Georgia’s Restaurant serves and her warm smile keeps visitors coming back for more.
