Sheila Jackson Lee, to host the virtual symposium entitled “Stop Killing Us! Challenging Police Practices In America” on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. ET. Moderated by Tanika Ray, panelists include Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, David Banner, Rev. Stephen Green and Mayor Aja Brown. The Future of Black America symposium provides a platform for African American leaders to engage, strengthen, and educate America on issues pertinent to the vitality of its Black communities. This year’s theme “The New Covenant” offers thought leaders, panelists, viewers and all of America an opportunity to engage in an honest dialogue on the lived experiences of Black America and offer solutions to community concerns.

The symposium will feature African Americans who lend constructive dialogue to the economics, education, faith, and social justice issues that impact the daily lived experiences of Blacks in America. AspireTV will host a second symposium post-Election around the topic “Where do we go from here?”
